About The NCS

“Inspiring students and staff to do what inspires them ensuring all make a positive and lasting contribution to society.”

The NCS was set up in 2014 with the aim of educating some of the brightest minds in Newham and East London with the view to preparing them to attend some of the most competitive universities in the UK and abroad.  However, our ambition is much more than this, we believe that education is a way for our young people and their families to improve their life chances so they too can enjoy the benefits of a first class education.  We also believe that our young people should be given the tools to be the leaders of their communities such that their future professional status inspires other young people so over time we begin to see a change in the social and economic landscape of one of the most deprived boroughs in London.

We have already had much success with outstanding results in only our second A-level year with 95% of our students receiving offers from Russell Group Universities, 9 Oxbridge offers, and 1 of our students having secured a place at MIT, which we believe is the first student in Newham to ever do so. This doesn’t happen by accident but through a concerted effort by like-minded people with a common goal.

Our focus has now expanded to inspire highly skilled and talented graduates, experienced teachers, and career changers to join us to continue our work of widening participation and making real societal change in our community.
